Ann Louise Michael

Ann Louise (Prueitt) Michael was born on June 25, 1957, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, and passed away on June 17, 2026, in West Des Moines, Iowa. She was just a week shy of her 69th birthday.

Ann graduated from Woodward-Granger High School and pursued higher education at Central College and Des Moines Area Community College. Ann spent her career devoted to the care of others in the healthcare industry. Ann’s commitment to helping those in need was a defining aspect of her life and work.

She’ll be lovingly remembered by her siblings: Carl Prueitt, Paul Prueitt, Karen (Prueitt) Ripperger, and John Prueitt. She’s also survived by her nieces and nephew: Rachel (Prueitt) Lunn, Alexandra Prueitt, Ben Prueitt, Becca Prueitt, Megan Ripperger and Sarah (Ripperger) Wiederstein. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Frances (Worth) Prueitt and Neil Prueitt.

Ann’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her legacy of compassion and service bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. Visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., both at the Woodward United Methodist Church in Woodward, IA.  Interment to follow at the Woodward Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Ann's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
