Beverly Ann Ammon, 79, who was born to Clyde and Zoe (Webster) Peterson, on September 13, 1935 in Kansas City, MO, passed away on June 17, 2015 in Clive, IA. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Woodlands Creek Clubhouse, 12657 Woodlands Parkway, Clive, IA.On July 27, 1957, Beverly married the love of her life, Gene Ammon in Jackson County, MO. Together they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. They were married for over 50 years before Gene’s passing in 2008. Beverly was a homemaker and a bus driver with the Waukee C.S.D. for a number of years.Beverly enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting and watching birds. She was also an avid beekeeper. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beverly was able to gift her body to the Des Moines University Body Donor Program; a program she held in high regard.Beverly is survived by her children Shirley (Ralph Figgers) Ammon of Madison, VA, Donna Dolan of Olin, IA, Jean (Kevin) Rhodes of Madrid, IA and J. Raymond Ammon of Columbus, IN; brother Gilbert (Pat) Peterson of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law Judy Webb of Gladstone, MO; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Clayton and Cletus Peterson.
