Cameron was born on October 24, 1998 in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Waukee High School in 2017. He was a giant teddy bear who truly cared about the people in his life, especially his three younger siblings and one furry buddy named Gus. Cameron also enjoyed video games, YouTube and binge watching new-to-him TV shows, most recently Friends.
For the past 22 months, Cameron has been undergoing treatment for Leukemia. While most kids his age were enjoying some the best years of their life, he was sitting in a hospital room trying to make the most of the hand that was dealt to him. Throughout his battles, Cameron was an example of strength, courage and kindness.

Left to carry on Cameron’s memory is a village of people who loved him deeply: mom and stepdad, Will and Kristi Petersen; dad, Sean Fabritz; siblings, Annabelle, Elizabeth and Desmond Petersen; grandparents, Gary and Karen Edgington, Kevin and Jacki Fabritz, Denny and Lori Petersen and Mike Wilkinson; great-grandfather, Jack Barnes; aunts and uncles, Eric and Kari Coleman, Ryan and Lindsay Edgington, Justin and Megan Edgington, Sam Fabritz, Steve and Alissa Lotman and Suzi Petersen; cousins, Noah and Nicholas Coleman, Avery Edgington and Jonathan Griesel. And no less important is the extended family of individuals who meant a lot to him. Cameron is preceded in death by his nana, Jeanie Wilkinson and great-grandparents Carolyn Barnes, George and Frances Edgington, Hank and Madeleine Fabritz, Harold and Ruth Nordquist and Edward and Alicia Sylvia
