David Allen Kovalsky, 59 of Waukee, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dave was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on October 2, 1962 to Edward and LaDonna (McClelland) Kovalsky. Dave was an avid sports fan who enjoyed rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed summer camping trips with his family, fishing, playing bunko and poker and most recently mastering smoking meats. Dave loved his family and friends dearly. He “never knew a stranger” and was always one of the first to offer up help to others.
Dave is survived by his wife Janet of Waukee; sons Christopher of Urbandale and Justin of Waukee; and numerous in-laws, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ed Kovalsky.
