Diane Jane Glenn, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed away on August 20, 2025, in Waukee, Iowa, at the age of 80. Born on March 23, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska, Diane was a beacon of warmth and love whose legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Diane's career can be summed up as: dedication and service. She made significant contributions while working with Mutual of Omaha, Brandeis, Greyhound, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. However, her most treasured role was that of a devoted stay-at-home mother. She cherished the time spent nurturing and raising her children, instilling in them the values of love and compassion. Diane showed her love in many ways, most notably through her delicious cooking, always preparing the family's favorite meals and gathering everyone around the table to create lasting memories.

Throughout her life, Diane called many places home, from Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, to the sunny coasts of Pensacola and St. Petersburg, Florida. She enjoyed her time in Meridian, Mississippi, the ocean breezes of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and the warmth of Waco and Houston, Texas and Jacksonville, Arkansas, before settling in the welcoming community of Waukee, Iowa. Each location added a rich chapter to her life, filled with friendships and experiences that she fondly held with her.

An avid fan of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, Diane's passion extended beyond sports; she was a lifelong reader who cherished stories and knowledge. Her early participation in 4-H helped enhance her skills in quilting and sewing, leading her to sew not only her own wedding gown but also the wedding gowns of her three daughters. She continued her passion in the 4-H program by leading her daughter's 4-H groups as well.

Diane's family was her pride and joy. She leaves behind her loving children: Lisa (Marc) Grimminger of Lincoln, NE; Bryce Glenn of Boise, ID; Jennifer (Michael) Larson of Waukee, IA; and Julie (Steve) Palmer of Waukee, IA. Her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy, are Bryant Grimminger of Lincoln, NE; Abi (Alex) Araya of Washington D.C.; Alyssa Larson of St. Louis, MO; Ross and Grace Palmer of Waukee, IA; and Sammy and Brody Larson of Waukee, IA. Diane's spirit also lives on through her siblings: sisters Barb Sronce and Laurie Barr, and brothers Bob, Mark, and Scott Chadwell, all of Omaha, NE, and Jim Chadwell of Kingman, AZ.

Diane was preceded in death by her dear parents, Fred and Ernestine Chadwell; her beloved husband, Robert C. Glenn II; and her brothers Gary and Gayle Chadwell and sister Carolyn Anderson.

As we remember Diane Jane Glenn, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and innumerable cherished moments.  A family interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, NE, where she will be laid to rest with her husband Robert. Diane's memory will be honored as the family will gather to celebrate her life, through endless memories, at the family farm.  Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of the Midwest (www.hospiceofthemidwest.com) in Diane's memory.
