Guillermo Martinez, son of Maria de Jesus Martinez and Luis Martinez, was born on February 14th, 1974 in his home of Zacatecas, Mexico. At an early age, he had always been working hard following in the footsteps of his late father.
He had learned many important lessons that have helped aid him during his journey. Guillermo is survived by his loving wife, Susana Martinez, his oldest son, Juan Martinez, his middle child, Angel Martinez, and his youngest child, Stephanie Martinez. He and his family moved from Michigan to Waukee, IA where he and his wife raised their precious kids
Guillermo enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed many activities such as his favorite, fishing, and other activities such as grilling, watching soccer, and listening to music. He loved to have his hands on whatever can be fixed whether that be his cars, tools, or anything that needed to be fixed. Guillermo has always been family devoted. He taught his children to never give up and to always work hard. Guillermo left his family many valuable lessons all which will be remembered forever and ever.
Guillermo was a hard worker and strived to solve any problem that he had encountered. He was always proud of his sons for shaping them to be strong young men and of his little princess for being strong in whatever she may encounter. He had always lent out a helping hand to whoever needed it and never hesitated once to help. He was a religious man and always let God guide him in the right direction. Although his whole life he has worked hard for many hours, he lived his life to the fullest surrounded by his loving family whom he loved dearly. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. May God protect him and shine his light over him.
Guillermo’s family would like to thank all those from the bottom of their hearts who have helped and supported them during these difficult times.
Visitation will be held for family and friends on Monday, November 8, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 am at St. Boniface church in Waukee.
