Kenneth Ray Terrell

September 11, 1980 — February 25, 2026

Bedford

Kenneth Ray Terrell, fondly known as Kenny, was born on September 11, 1980, in Des Moines, Iowa, and passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bedford on February 25, 2026. A life celebrated by family and friends, Kenny brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.

Kenny graduated from Ruby Van Meter High School in Des Moines in 1999 and went on to work for John Deere in Johnston, Walmart in Grimes, and Innovative Industries in Creston, where he dedicated himself to his responsibilities while building lasting friendships.

Beyond his professional life, Kenny had a variety of hobbies and interests. He found joy in making bracelets and indulged his creativity with crafts. A true sports enthusiast, he passionately supported the Kansas City Chiefs and loved to express himself through music, particularly enjoying karaoke. As a cancer survivor, Kenny's resilience was matched only by his love for making others laugh, especially during cherished moments spent with his nieces and nephews.

Kenny is survived by his siblings: Paula (Marc) Ernst of Waukee, Robert Terrell of Des Moines, and Gloria Terrell of Woodward. He also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews: Joseph (Brittnie) Ernst, Natalee Daugard, Ahraya Ernst, Trevor Terrell, and Rebecca Terrell and great-nieces and nephews: Bentley, Nevaeh, Maelee and Charlee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Kathleen Terrell and all four grandparents; whose legacy of love and strength remains alive in the hearts of his family.

As we remember Kenny, we celebrate not just the time we had with him, but also the happiness he spread through his laughter, creativity, and spirit. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In keeping with Kenny's wishes, no services will be held.
