Lorraine was born, raised and spent 85 years of her life in Chicago. She adored her grandmother, whom took on a motherly role helping raise Lorraine. She worked as an administrative assistant for Blue Cross Blue Shield during her career. Throughout the years, Lorraine always looked forward to visiting her sister and nieces in North Carolina where she spent countless hours enjoying the beach and laughing over the many stories shared with her sister Cora. Lorraine had a wacky sense of humor and loved all animals, especially cats. She was always close with her sister and became even closer when she, along with her cat Sparkle, moved to Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center six years ago.
Lorraine is survived by her sister Cora Colver and nieces Cathleen (Gregg) Wehrspan and Christine Colver (David Kull). She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law James Colver and dear friend, Vivian Rooney.
