Marvin Richard Wengerd, a devoted father, son and sibling, passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 67, at his home in Waukee, Iowa. Born on November 29, 1958, in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, Marvin embarked on a journey that would span decades, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew and loved him.

Upon completing his education at West Virginia University, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Marvin’s career as a mechanical and computer engineer showcased his vast skills and knowledge to the field, earning the respect of numerous colleagues.

Marvin took great pride in his family. He is survived by his three daughters: Cheyenne (Blake) Wengerd of Urbandale, IA; Olivia (Josh) Pinter of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Amanda (Brandon) Campbell of Laurinburg, NC. Marvin found great joy in his six grandchildren—Titan, Finnegan, Bryson, and Addison (Olivia); and Ella and Harlynn (Amanda). The bond he shared with the mother of his children, Jody Wengerd of Cedar Rapids, IA, will always be remembered.

Marvin was also the loving son of Ann Wengerd, who resides in Winchester, VA, and is survived by his siblings, Jack (Gina) Wengerd, Rhonda (Vernon) Snyder, and Jill (Terry) Holler and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and brother, Paul.

Marvin’s passions extended beyond his professional endeavors. He enjoyed spending his free time watching and following the world of NASCAR and playing video games. He also found great joy in building computers, a hobby that reflected his curiosity and love for learning.
