Maxine Kiene Peterson

Maxine Kiene Peterson passed away on November 10, 2020 at the age of 53 surrounded by her loving children and family.

 Maxine was born on October 28, 1967 in Vientiane, Laos to Tho Van Lo (deceased) and Tom Thi Lo (deceased). She was the 6th of 10 children.

 In 1978, Maxine and her family came to the United States and settled in a little town called Inwood, Iowa. Her most recent residence was in Urbandale, Iowa with her two children.

 Maxine worked at Citi Bank for over two decades and ended her career at her most recent job with the Department of Homeland Security. Maxine spent her spare time golfing, enjoying nature, and taking in all the joy of being with her children and family.

 Maxine is lovingly remembered by her 2 children: Dexter and Kia; her sisters and brothers: Ngeune, Thouang, Phong, Khay, Bon, Ly, Souane, and Hiene. Her parents, Tho and Tom Lo, and brother, Duc Lo, proceded her death. She will find peace in joining her father, mother, and brother.

 Maxine fiercely fought her battle with cancer for 3 years and she made every moment count during her last years. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will live on through Dexter and Kia and everyone who was lucky enough to be touched by her strength and tenacity in life.
