Robert James Hubbard

Mr. Robert James Hubbard, age 68, of Des Moines, IA, departed this life on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Dayton, OH and was a retired employee of the Iowa Department of Transportation. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran who served in Vietnam simultaneously with his brother Michael. He was the current Commander of the American Legion Post #374. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Cora B. and John E. Hubbard and a sister Ella R. Hubbard. Survivors include two brothers, Michael A. Hubbard (Lee) of Colorado Springs, CO and Bruce E. Hubbard of Dayton, OH; seven nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Adel, IA 50003.
