Ronald Dean Mccormick

Ronald Dean McCormick, 84, who was born on March 28, 1933 in Lucas County, Iowa to Harland James and Jennie Inez (Oxenrider) McCormick, passed away on June 23, 2017 at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines, Iowa. Ron graduated from Chariton High School. On August 8, 1954 he married the love of his life Donna Marie Lingle. Ron was a skilled sheet metal worker and a member of Local 45. He enjoyed rebuilding cars, camping and researching and investing in the stock market. He was a history buff who enjoyed watching the History Channel and reading National Geographic. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Donna through the years, especially their 50th Anniversary Hawaiian & Alaskan Cruise. Ron stayed busy attending his grandchildren's many events and tending to his flowers and gardens.
Ron is survived by his children: Gary McCormick of Waukee, IA, Rick McCormick of Dallax, TX, Lori (Mike) Behre of West Des Moines, IA, Shari (Quinn) Osburn of Indianapolis, IN and Randy (Judy) McCormick of Urbana, IA; grandchildren Grace and Richard Behre; siblings Malcolm, Janis, Inez, Lucille and Marjorie. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna, parents Harland and Jennie and brothers William (Bill), Willard Alvin, Darrell Harland and Myron Neal.
